A family holiday.
At your rhythm.

ITRAVELTÜRKİYE editorial · 13 October 2026

A good family itinerary leaves space for different energy levels. These questions help turn a wish list into a practical holiday proposal, whether your family is traveling from one country or meeting from several.

01. Start with the people, then the places

Share the number of adults, children’s ages and any different arrival schedules. A group with young children may need a different pace, room setup and transfer arrangement from a group of adults.

02. Choose fewer moves when comfort matters

Changing hotels takes time and energy. Consider whether one city and one coastal stay would be more enjoyable than adding several short stops. Keep an easy day after longer travel and leave some time unplanned.

03. Make room arrangements explicit

Ask for the exact room type, occupancy, bed configuration and whether connecting rooms are guaranteed or merely requested. Include lift access, cot or extra-bed needs and any location preferences within the hotel.

04. Discuss food preferences specifically

Rather than relying on broad labels, list what your family needs: vegetarian choices, halal dining preferences, allergies or meal times. Ask what the hotel or operator can confirm. Share only the practical information required at the appropriate booking stage.

05. Check the transport details

Confirm child-seat availability, passenger and luggage capacity, pickup locations and transfer duration estimates. A larger group may need more than one vehicle, and bulky luggage can change the suitable category.

06. Separate admission from transport

A theme-park transfer and an admission ticket are different services. Ask whether the proposal includes entry, which date it covers, what restrictions apply and how the return journey is arranged.

07. Leave room for individual interests

A private day or flexible afternoon can help everyone enjoy the trip. Tell us which experiences are essential and which are optional. This makes it easier to compare a comfortable proposal with a more active one.
