A smooth arrival starts before the flight. This checklist helps you compare transfer quotes and give your operator the information needed for your group.

01. Start with the exact airport

Check the airport code on your flight booking. Istanbul Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) are different airports. Give your transfer provider the code, flight number, arrival date and scheduled local arrival time—not just “Istanbul airport”.

02. Give the hotel address, not only its name

Hotels can share similar names. Include the full accommodation address and flag any pedestrian-only access or meeting-point instructions from your hotel. Ask where the vehicle can stop and whether assistance beyond that point is available.

03. Count luggage as carefully as passengers

List suitcases, cabin bags, pushchairs and unusually large items. A vehicle with enough seats may still have too little luggage space. Ask the operator to confirm both passenger and baggage capacity in writing.

04. Agree the waiting and delay rules

Ask when waiting time begins, how much is included, how delays are handled and what happens if immigration or baggage collection takes longer than expected. Keep the operator’s contact details accessible even if mobile data is unavailable.

05. Compare the whole price

Confirm the currency, pricing basis, route, tolls, parking, taxes, extra-stop charges and any late-night supplement. Do not assume that a return journey or a child seat is included in a one-way quote.

06. Request practical arrangements early

Child seats, step-free access and extra luggage space should be discussed before booking. Explain what arrangement you need without sending medical records through an inquiry form. A request becomes part of the service only when confirmed.

07. Before departure

Save your pickup instructions, check the meeting point and confirm how to contact the operator. If your flight or accommodation changes, request an updated confirmation. For airport information, consult the official airport website.
